Interior Design
The Alchemy of Possibilities

It all starts with the client and an idea. The idea may be abstract to start with, but it soon evolves as a palette of materials, colours and moods emerges, and a story materialises. Our projects are well managed, organised and detailed. Our design process is rough work until that solid idea comes forward from the creative ‘chaos’. Each project is unique and personal. Each project has its own gestation and must be taken at its own pace. Each require constant reinvention, in accordance to the client’ needs.
However, we always design a little whimsy, fun and joy into the process. Lo Eli enjoys incorporating subtle layers of detail into her work to excite the eye. Complexity juxtaposed with simplicity, patterns against solids, textured surfaces bordered by smooth surfaces, all kinds of exotic and eco material combinations. How else can the environment created nourish its inhabitants and expand their daily lives?
Inspiration, no imitation
[Lo’s influence is never literal or obvious. It has been refracted and reconfigured. A single object or detail can be informed by a myriad of references. These come from art, cinema, music, fashion, architecture, literature, philosophy, geography, and history. The skill is in distilling all of this into an environment which belongs to no specific era or discipline. It is the instinct to look to the past without nostalgia. The beauty of being born out of time means it is impossible to be defined by an era.]
Some people require quick solutions at a low cost that will deliver for the short-term. Solutions with superficial effect and little consideration for the future. Some people still believe that value is found in the lowest cost. If this is you, apologies, we are not the right choice for you. As a designer studio, we do not want to be selected because the cheapest option out there. Yes, technology has simplified the process, but there is still a creative process involved and that, my dears, is priceless.
The pursuit of beauty comes with a powerful sense of permanence. Our designs are created to exist for as long as possible, which explains the conscious effort put in the material selection, which owing to quality and sustainability, become more beautiful with age.
